at 5:45 p.m., 6 perpetrators rode 3 motorcycles and used firearms to open fire on the Don Sai Subdistrict Protection Volunteers in Mai Kaen District, Pattani Province, while they were exercising in front of their base of operations. This resulted in the deaths of 2 officers, Sergeant Suhaimi Abu, and Sergeant Marosalee Toseng, and injuries to 2 officers, Sergeant Daree Laema and Sergeant Muridan Abu. Officers took them to Mai Kaen Hospital and are urgently tracking down the perpetrators for prosecution.
